I met the lovely the lovely Jo and Aaron years ago at another awesome wedding of one of their close friends. After getting to know the sweet couple I was very much looking forward to shooting their big day. Blackfriars is a space I have visited a few times over the past year and with its grand space I have fallen in love with it. It boasts a 13th century medieval Priory site with gorgeous features and a original scissor-braced roof.
A few of the many things that stood out at this beautiful wedding was the amount of time and thought gone into the brilliant table decorations, outfits and homemade cakes. Jo and Aaron really put their personality into this day and the effort paid off!
For this wedding I used the Canon Mark iii with lenses 24-70, 50, 70-200. Inner city weddings are always tricky when it comes to the session of the couple but lucky for me the ground of Blackfriars contains tons of wonderful well preserved medieval walls to shoot as a backdrop. No one would have ever thought we were minutes away from the busy bustling high streets of Gloucester city centre! Another perk was having Jo and Aaron as models who still between them have a wonderful chemistry that is so easy to shoot and get some adorable shots of the both of them. Take a look at some of the many highlights of their amazing day in late August :). X
